Commercial property inspection for buyers, owners and tenants

A commercial property inspection gives you a clear picture of a building's condition before you buy it, lease it, refinance it or plan capital repairs. We inspect offices, retail centers, warehouses and mixed-use buildings across Palm Beach and Broward County, and tailor each commercial inspection to the decision you're making. A buyer may want every major system reviewed, while an owner planning a budget may want the roof, envelope and mechanical equipment prioritized.

Getting an accurate quote

Commercial jobs vary too much for a one-size price, so we quote every job in writing first. To prepare an accurate quote we'll ask for the address, approximate square footage, year built, number of buildings and units, current use, and whether tenants occupy the spaces. Access matters too: we'll need entry to the roof, mechanical and electrical rooms, and any suites you want included. Copies of past maintenance records, roof warranties or prior reports help us focus on what has changed.

Large or hard-to-reach roofs can be documented by drone, and where there are signs of water damage we can add a mold inspection to the same visit.

Commercial Inspection: questions

All questions
What is a commercial property inspection?

A commercial property inspection is a visual assessment of an office, retail, warehouse or mixed-use building's condition. It covers the building envelope, roof, structure, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, parking and site drainage, with estimates of the remaining useful life of major components.

How much does a commercial inspection cost?

Commercial inspection pricing depends on the building's size, age, use, number of units and the scope you need. Every job is quoted in writing before we start, so send us the details through our quote form for a firm price.

Who needs a commercial property inspection?

Investors buying a building, business owners purchasing their own space, tenants signing a long lease with repair obligations, and owners planning maintenance budgets all benefit. The report gives each of them an independent record of the building's condition at a point in time.

How long does a commercial inspection take?

Time on site depends on the size of the building and how many units or systems are included. We agree the schedule and report delivery date with you when we quote, so you can plan around your due diligence deadline.

Can you inspect a commercial roof?

Yes. We inspect accessible roofs on foot and can use a drone to document large, high or hard-to-reach roofs, with photos of the covering, drainage, flashing and rooftop equipment included in the report.

Do you inspect commercial buildings in Palm Beach and Broward County?

Yes. We inspect commercial properties throughout Palm Beach and Broward County. Contact us with the address and building details and we'll confirm availability and scope.
